About
Elpis Technology is a promise: systems that stay.
In the Pandora myth, when every trouble had escaped the jar, one thing remained inside: Elpis, hope. The name is a working standard, not decoration. Enterprise AI produces plenty of demos that escape into slide decks and die there. This practice exists to build the thing that remains: systems still running, still understood and still useful long after the launch meeting.
It is deliberately small. One senior practitioner, a few engagements at a time, no bench to keep busy and no incentive to make your project bigger than it needs to be.
The practice
Small by design, direct by default.
Elpis Technology is based in Istanbul and runs engagements remotely for clients in Türkiye and across Europe, in Turkish and English. The setup is intentionally simple: the person you brief is the person who designs the system, writes the code and answers when something needs attention. Nothing is handed down a delivery chain, and nothing gets lost in one.
Three habits run through every engagement: transparency, so the people who own a system can explain it; honest scoping, so no AI is sold where a plain rule will do; and endurance, which in practice means documentation, human checkpoints and boring infrastructure.
The work
Enterprise systems first, AI where it earns its place.
The practice stands on more than eight years of enterprise software delivery across a broad industrial range, from manufacturing and energy to food, chemicals, mining and logistics. One side of the work is deep SAP and integration experience; the other is modern applied AI: document understanding, retrieval and multi-agent systems. Elpis lives at that junction on purpose, because that is where enterprise AI usually fails: the model works, but nobody wired it into the systems the company actually runs.
Who does the work
The AI consultant behind the brand.
Elpis Technology is founded and run by Umut Şanlı, an AI consultant based in Istanbul. Trained as a physicist with a software engineering degree on top, he has spent his career inside large enterprise systems and builds every Elpis engagement personally. The brand carries the promise; he does the work.
The fastest way to check the fit is a short conversation.
Write a few lines about your process. You will get a straight answer, even if the answer is that you do not need a consultant.
